In my last blog post about Self-discovery, I talked about beginning the journey of self-discovery. There is no perfect time to sit with yourself and understand yourself. So, are you ready to shun a few limiting beliefs?
To unfold the truth hidden inside you. The time is now and more than ever you need to discover who you are and what you want to do in your life. Because if you won’t, people will make you believe in their versions of you, their thoughts about you, will define you, for you. We don’t want that, do we?
Won’t it be a better idea to raise our self-awareness and understand ourselves, reflect inside us? You might ask me why is it important to discover myself? Why should I invest 10 minutes of life with you over something I already know about myself?
I know, how capable I am.
I know, how better I am than others
I don’t think I can do that
This doesn’t work for me….there there!
Do you know, how much limiting beliefs you have been holding on?
Self-Discovery Task for Day 2- Limiting Beliefs
A limiting belief is something you believe to be true about yourself, about others, or about the world that limits you in some way. The challenge with limiting beliefs is most of us don’t think we have them and they can be really hard to spot.
And do you know what are the TOP 5 self-limiting beliefs majority of people carry with themselves?
1.) I can’t do that
2.) I don’t think it is possible
3.) I am afraid what if it doesn’t work
4.) I am not capable enough
5.) I am too old
Do you know? What is the biggest hindrance to your own growth? It is not your parents, your husband, your toxic in-laws, or your unsupportive friends. It is your mindset and belief system, which has caged you with all those ifs, buts, and hows. Won’t you like to free yourself from the limiting beliefs you have been carrying all your life?
I am sure, you would. So here is your task for the day and I assume you will be doing it with me. I would love to know your feedback in the comment section.
“Note down all the limiting beliefs you can, in regards to money, career, love, work, and self-worth. Think of all the negative affirmations that cross your mind whenever an opportunity strikes or an unwarranted situation hits you.”
Now, try replacing the negative connotations with the positive ones, for example:
1.) I can’t do that – What if it works?
2.) I don’t think it is possible – You will never know until you try
3.) I am afraid what if it doesn’t work – What will you lose, if it doesn’t work?
4.) I am not capable enough – Are you being fair to yourself when you say this?
5.) I am too old – You are never too old to do a new thing and dream a new dream
I hope you smash at least one limiting belief with this exercise. See you tomorrow 🙂

This does make a lot of sense. We often blame the external factors for being a hinderance. Whereas, the main road block is our own belief system. Thank u Priyanka for penning this down.
